You can store a variety of items in your unit. For items sensitive to temperature changes and humidity, we recommend a a temperature-controlled storage unit to give you peace of mind. Common items include electronics, wooden or upholstered furniture, important documents, photographs, clothing, musical instruments, collectibles, antiques, wine, and medical supplies. You can not store the following: anything flammable (gas, propane, etc.), food, guns or ammunition, hazardous or toxic substances.
Yes, you must have insurance that covers your items. If you have your own insurance, you can bypass ours with a copy of your declaration page.
Our contracts are month-to-month, but we do offer discounts for longterm contracts and annual leases.
Yes, we offer climate controlled units as well as drive-up (non climate-controlled) units. Our offerings are facility dependent, so please check our Find Storage page to ensure temperature controlled units are available near you.
Our access hours are 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. For business customers, we offer convenient 24 hour access to your unit.

At Citadel Self Storage, we prioritize the security of your belongings. Our self storage facilities are equipped with 24-hour surveillance cameras, gated access with security code access, and on-site staff.
No, we include a disc lock with each rental.
We can cut the lock off and issue you a replacement lock for the cost of the lock.
Our access hours are 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. If you are still in your unit after we close at 10:00 PM, you will always be able to leave but will not be able to re-enter.

You have a 5-day grace period before the first late fee applies. After the 6th, the unit will be overlocked and you can not access your items until the account is paid in full.
Yes, we will waive the admin fee for any active duty military personnel.
At Citadel Self Storage, we offer a variety of convenient payment options. We offer both autopay and online payments, but you can also call us to pay, stop by the office to pay, or send a check via mail.
Our self storage rental prices are facility dependent. We offer 1st floor, 2nd floor, and 3rd floor unit options that vary in price. Contact your location to learn more about individual unit prices.

No, once you have your account set up, you can access it anytime during our access hours.
As long as they have a key to the unit or coordinate getting the lock on the unit and the keys back to the owner, you do not need to be on site.
You can transfer units at any time, depending on availability.
When moving out, please give us 5 days notice. You will also need to clean out your unit and take all your belongings, leave the door in the open position, and let us know you have left.
No, we do not prorate our rates, so please be sure to plan your departure and move out at the end of your lease.
